The Surrender

Katdream

observed your surrender
sand returned to the sea
in the wake of an ebb tide
final departure predicted

grappling for some explanation
don't leave us now
much left unsaid, undone
I scream your name; no sound escapes me

overcome
I weep until I am weak
waves motion me forward
another grain of sand is taken

wait for me

A metaphoric poem well written in its obscurity it is still powerful
