AS MOMENTS PASS

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

About the broken
Windows face
Lifts passive
Dirty ragged lace
The sea breeze with
Its soothing hands
Its salted taste
Sea kelp and sands.

A shallow breath
Enters the room
As dawn it falls
Goodbye the moon
Farewell the stars
That twinkled high
The sunrise with
A dampened eye.

The battered boards
Of life to wheeze
The gentle movement
Of swaying trees
That politely tap
Upon that broken glass
Lifting ragged lace
As moments pass.
