Keep ya head up, preach and teach nothing but love,
Tupac was the hand that fit with poetry like a glove.
A classic track that has totally stood the test of time,
Now all we get is mumbling negativity with barely a rhyme.
Don’t cry and be strong, listen to the overall message and theme,
Reality is wrong, keep holding on to that positively charged dream.
A sequel with The Outlawz, some years after his passing,
This is a tribute to one of those music legends, forever lasting.

Protecting women, protecting men,
a hero disguised as a rapper, replaying what God said.
Devils lurked within his shadow. Two shootings in two years? Someone wanted him dead.
He was getting too big, his messages too clean, beginning to blow.
Was it some Bad Boys who killed him, or was he already on Death Row?
How is it he was murdered in 1996, yet he’s still the most evolved rapper I’ve heard to date?
All I have to say is: Pac… thank you. Keep ya head up whilst guarding Heaven’s gates.

- Comment from author about the poem: This is a collab poem I did with Red-handed ink over on Allpoetry. Had fun writing it together and thought I would post here too. Based on a song Keep Ya Head Up by 2pac.
