If I were to ask,
How much you love me —
would you say it is as vast as the sea,
As endless as the night
Spent beneath shimmering stars.
As tender as the dawn
Kissing the swaying fields,
As sacred as the gaze
Of eyes filled with devotion?
There is so much to ask,
So much to say ——
Yet I know,
You cannot love me so.
For love requires a heart,
And you have none.
Forget the heart —
Even your words feel hollow,
Your worth smaller
than the weight of these emotions.
