Mental Health Matters

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

There's still a stigma and ignorance towards it,

Hits home when it's a member of the family, shit!

Mental health matters, don't be so bloody dismissive,

Not many understand torture that negative thoughts give.

A little time, thought and compassion can go a long, long way,

Never too late for what you should have actioned and done yesterday.

It does matter .. yes. Iโ€™ve had mental health problems for a long time ..

Some people donโ€™t understand at all

You are right, they really don't, most don't care unless it happens to them which is sad.

A most positive view of differences that people have we are all on that spectrum some closer to the edge. Well said

I wholeheartedly agree with this poem. Nicely written.

From some of your previous writing I would believe that this is a matter of reflection, rather than something you are dealing with right now, Shaun. Good for you - shows that you haven't forgotten and are still able to advocate around a subject misunderstood by many.
