What does it mean to be American?
To live in the land of the free
To have the freedom to be me
To show kindness and support
To show love and understanding
To not be rude, selfish and demanding
To not be racist, sexist, or homophobic
To not be evil, heartless, or transphobic
We need more love, support and kindness
We need more understanding and open-minded
Every human needs to be free and live their lives
No matter who you are
From the tall, to the small
Wether your black, brown, white or gray
Wether your straight, non-binary or gay
For me, being a loving person is the true American way
