Still Moving

mylastwrites

One thing I have noticed

As I have grown older

I no longer have

Those big broad shoulders

Sometimes I still believe

I can do the things I used to do

But I must face reality

For that is no longer true

As time washes over me

Speed and strength slowly disappear

However, sometimes in my mind

I think I can still get to fifth gear

Things I took for granted

In living everyday

Slowly become more challenging

As the years fly away

Great poem… although i myself am in my youth and feeling invincible; I still find myself looking to help those who aren’t as youthful
