A quieter than usual street, there's an uneasy calm,
Short blonde haired girl is putting on lip balm,
Suited man speaking on the mobile with charm,
All of a sudden an air raid siren screams alarm,
Creatures appear from the mist, looking to harm.

Supernatural, surreal this poem blends real life with the fantastic and one has to ask is any of this metaphor. A good read my friend.
Appreciate it!
You are most welcome Shaun
Good write SM.
I thought you were going to mention E.T. lol.
Erm, well the pic looks a little like that two-initialled guy - Ernie Taylor, is it?! lol.
Shaun, this immediately pulled me in. The quiet, everyday opening makes the sudden shift into danger all the more unsettling. I definitely wanted to keep reading. Great start, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks pal, some sci-fi / horror. Haha!
A write that tempts one to wonder what would have happened next.
Maybe the next poem will have the answer 🤔
