Time Wasted

Anthony Hanible

Seconds crack

Heart flinching

Soft pain

Blooms quietly

Minutes ache

Pulse dragging

Old fears breathe again

Hours slam

Ribs trembling

Memories hit harder now

Shame stirs voice shaking

Truth knocks without warning

Days drop

Weight rising

Regret hums under everything

Dreams bruise

Hope thinning

Soft light

Keeps flickering

Nights stretch

Thoughts circling

Lost chances feel louder

Love aches

Hands empty

Want stays

Never leaving

Truth lands

Chest open

Time hurts

When you’re drifting

Far from your own meaning

Far from what you needed

Still sparks

Keep glowing

Small beats

Keep forming

Heart fights

For rhythm

You’re not done yet

In this poem of what seems free association as one short thought is followed by another that it seems to stimulate one is taken on an emotional ride. Well done my friend
