The moon’s agony

Allie561

The moon was all alone at night

A silver solace held so tight

It watched beings leave with weary eyes

And awaited for the morn’s demise

“Unfair” it’ll say

But know it’s right

To truly be

Alone at night

Won't be long before the moon will crave a little solitude as humans crawl all over her.

That’s a wonderful insight Dave, nice to see you again.

The moon has been the subject of so many poems - enjoyed this one too

It has and for a good reason I suppose, it holds a special interest for most of us.

Allie, what a beautiful poem. I love how you give the moon its own quiet voice while exploring what it means to be alone. It's delicate, reflective, and leaves the reader with a lingering sense of calm melancholy. Wonderful write, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
