Panic After Disconnecting

Anthony Hanible

Cord snaps

Shock traps

Click hits

Pulse splits

Air thins

Room spins

Walls lean in

With sharpened grin

Heart slams

Breath jams

Panic claws

With jittered hands

Floor tilts

Sense wilts

Thoughts scatter

In static silt

Cold rush

Veins flush

Silence grows

A violent hush

Shadows twitch

Glitches itch

Every fear

Begins to pitch

Then that call

Thin but tall

Rises fast

To flood it all

All I dropped

All I blocked

All the dread

I never locked

Storms right back

Crack by crack

Rhyming loud

In panic black
