Happy Birthday in Heaven, my Love.❤️

Friendship

Happy Birthday in Heaven, my Love.❤️

The candles are lit, but the room remains still,
In the quiet of heaven, beyond the far hill.
I whisper your name to the stars overhead,
To your birthday, in a soft, golden thread.

Forty-seven years—a lifetime of grace,
The safety I found in the lines of your face.
You held me through seasons, you held me through storms,
Refuge wrapped tight in your beckoning arms.

You loved without judgment, you saw who I was,
You anchored my spirit without any pause.
You never looked backward, you never felt shame,
You whispered my worth when the shadows once came.

You loved me more deeply than life could demand,
With the gentle, firm touch of your guiding hand.
I am who I am for the way that you cared,
For the beautiful, infinite life that we shared.

Today, there’s an ache that no words can define,
A longing to reach for that hand that was mine.
I miss you, my love, in a way that burns bright,
Like a beacon that fades from the edge of the night.

So blow out the candles, wherever you are,
My love, my life’s heartbeat, my shimmering star.
You’re held in my memories, kept in my breath,
A love that is stronger than time, or than death.

A very nice commemorative poem of one loved and lost. Very nicely done I can feel the missing of them in the words.

What a heartfelt tribute, Friendship. You honor both the life you shared and the love that still remains, and that balance gives this such quiet strength. It's tender without ever feeling sentimental, and it left me sitting with it long after I finished reading. Beautifully done, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

There’s a deep tenderness here, a love that refuses to end even when someone is gone.
The birthday candles become a beautiful symbol of memory, carrying warmth across the distance between two hearts.

I read this on what would have been my Mother's 98th Birthday. Yes we still miss our Loved Ones that have gone . And think of them every day.
        A touching Poem.

Great epitaph, maybe open a bottle and drink a toast to a fine fellow.
            Thoughts with you.

I related to your poem very deeply. Losing someone I loved after 18 years together. The one thing I learned, the loving doesn’t stop with their passing. You wrote an absolutely beautiful poem. Thank you.
