80s Baby (Masculinity Is Not Toxic)

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

This is an ode to when men were manly,

No, no, everything is not fine and dandy.

Masculinity is not toxic, they push weakness,

Easier to control us with those softened features.

I'm an 80s baby, sad to see these societal changes,

Testosterone does not make all males hateful and dangerous.

Straight cut jeans but they push the skinny ones right to the front,

Hipsters briefs and trunks are everywhere but boxers are what I want.

Stallone and Schwarzenegger are replaced with Chalamet and Redmayne,

Noodle boys are taking over, Elliot Page as a Greek warrior is bloody insane!

A pushback against over feminization of the male gender. I hear what is wrong with masculinity as the theme and would have to agree in Viva la difference. Well written
