I lost my friend
Because I cared
Because a truth
Rose up
Declared
A quiet spark
became a sign
A God that stepped
Inside the line
I tried to cage
The growing fire
But myth obeys
No small desire
You felt the shift
The omen’s wing
The air that chills
Before it stings
I crossed a mark
No mortal drew
A path that split
In two
Then grew
My chest revealed
Its ancient lore
A vow I kept
But couldn’t store
The moment broke
A sacred bowl
And all its light
Poured from the soul
You walked away
Like fading kings
Like someone bound
To sever things
And I remained
With what I knew
Love is a thief
That steals in two
It takes your calm
Your mortal breath
Then asks for more
A quiet death
It claimed the bond
I called my friend
And left me here
To comprehend
I caught a love
Too fierce to bend
And in its myth
I lost my friend
