Whole Again

notapoet

There’s a gaping hole in my heart
where your love used to be.
You selfishly and uncaringly
ripped it out of me.

So now I just wanna heal,
and try to feel
what I thought was never real.

I wanna let go
of the pain I’ve held so long,
erase all the hurt
until it’s all gone.

I wanna wake up light,
not heavy in your space,
and look into the mirror
without seeing your face.

I wanna be whole again,
not patched, worn, and torn,
and someday love again—

a chance for true love to be reborn.

I can relate to every lines
Every lines hold pain and truth at once
