Overly long Movies I will never condone,
Its like sitting for 10 years with the length being shown.
This time it's 'The Odyssey' that I've just waded through,
A terribly long Running Time with no End being in view.
And I can honestly say I thought I'd never get Home

A true measure of how good the movie is. Even a short movie if bad seems to last forever while a great movie can be three hours and it seems short.

Imagine my having attempted to read the Illiad and the Odyssey in primary school!

Yup we did. But this was no Ladybird, it was the actual one- Pan or MacMillan, and you're right, a bit advanced for the emotional and mental sophistication of a child.
To attempt to Read something like that is the main thing. A desire for something more Intellectual. No matter how young. Something to be proud of. A few years back I started reading 'War and Peace''. Gave up after a bit . Later on , had a real Run Up to it , then sailed through it.
Yes! That happened with me and Shakespeare for similar reasons plus a few other relational ones. And after going spectacularly through Boccaccio returned to Avon then reacquainted and reconciled with Willie.
Kevin, this is a fun read. The humor stays light, but the frustration is instantly relatable...especially for anyone who's ever checked the clock halfway through a movie and realized there was still forever to go. Nicely played, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
