"across the ether"
In the Unbroken, before the first word is spoke,
a heat coil glows beneath the skin of night,
where raw thought, unshaped by clay or smoke,
pulls against the silver weight of light.
We are anchors cast in iron and stone,
drifting through dark on slender thread,
half-bound to dust we call our own,
the other bound to stars we haven't read.
A single whisper through that vacant vast,
a pulse vibrating down each tautened line—
to feel the phantom future as well as past
of geometric entanglements divine.
Hold this tether tight against the gale,
lest our spirit slip through mortal seam,
and leave a heavy carcass in the vale
to dream an endless, unremembered dream.

Beautiful my friend this one captures a mood of marble polished and so nicely displayed. It is classic in the nature of its beauty. I loved it as it rolled off the tongue it feels so rich and full of meaning. This could well come from a Wordsworth or a Keats. Truly well crafted my friend and a fave
It was a rhyming period when this was written. Thank you, Soren 🙏🕊️
most wonderful
There's a winner.
Thinks kindly 🤩🙏🕊️
a most beautiful piece and a fav
Thanks for the Fave, Norman. Most appreciated🙏🕊️
most welcome, much enjoyed
This grabbed me, arqios...especially the suggestion that our connection to existence extends in directions we haven’t yet learned how to perceive. There’s something wonderfully unsettling about imagining ourselves tethered between the dust beneath us and unread stars beyond us. Powerful and thought-provoking, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Good write A.
Thought Provoking.
