Treasures of yesteryear, today, and forever

GenXer Sharon πŸ™πŸ€

I’ve not lived a long life compared to those older than I. But still I hold some treasures close that others may not find. Years past when my kids were younger; I hold close time spent with them at the beach or reading bedtime stories; today when reminiscing to each of them they may say; “mom don’t bore me.” But those little moments spent together will always be the best. Now that they’re growing older, my heart is in a constant test. Today I treasure just a simple Mom I love you. Not for any particular reason. Just because reaching out was something you wanted to do. Or a simple get together for breakfast lunch or dinner. Because at the end of it;  you made my day one I’ll always remember. Forever treasure is when I get to go home to God. Hopefully He will be proud of me even when my life was hard. Treasure all your moments now and tell your kids and parents that you love them too; you just never know when your time here will be through.

Sharon, this really touched my heart. The older I get, the more I realize it's those ordinary moments that become our greatest treasures. Your love for your family shines through every word. Beautiful write, my friend. πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›
