Beneath sunlit ripples, shadows twist softly.
Dolphins gather, their laughter a language.
A pufferfish drifts into their playground,
small body trembling with peculiar purpose.
One gentle nudge, a hesitant balloon.
It swells, trembling like a secret exposed.
They circle it, a tender ritual unfolds,
the sea their court, their joy uncontainable.
A volley begins, fin to wave, to sky.
Not a hunt—this is celebration, orchestral.
The toxin whispers against their blue veins,
a slow pulse of curiosity and euphoria.
The game becomes feast, bite by careful bite.
A giggle escapes, bubbles tangled in silence.
Reflections catch them, shimmering narcissus grins.
What is it to play with the edges of life?
Here, even hunger carries a melody,
even poison dances, asks to be cherished.
