“Stop managing
and start racing”
Fangio said to himself
Victory lies
in the seat
of your pants
The best laid plans
the strategists
map out
Go silent
when dancing
the dance
A driver knows best
when the margins
are small
In hundredths
the outcome
depends
One choice dearly made
defying
the grave
Keeps a winner
in laurels
— again”

Car racing whether stockcar, Indy or formula is a matter of hundredths or even thousandths of a second. So is life as well especially when it races. Nice one Kurt
Fangio was the greatest. Thanks Soren.
Most welcome Kurt
Brings me back to my first awareness of racing in real time with Nicki Lauda on the news. ππ»ποΈ
Yep, Nicki was a great one. The battles he had with James Hunt were legendary..
Kurt, this really grabbed me. Even without knowing Fangioβs story, the poem captures that moment where instinct has to take over and thinking gives way to doing. Powerful write, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
Thanks again.
