Cowboy Nowadays

Hillary Monica Maranresy

His shoes are his friends

Travelling through the desert

To get the goods

To feed his babies at night

Taking here, taking there

The sun attacks him

Selling there, selling here

The moon comforts him

He masks his sweat

To show them his smile

To hide his weariness for a while

To give them the best

Becoming a storyteller for a brief time

To write his children nice stories

To be remembered in a long time

As written in a movie of heroes
