"Gemini Rising"
Before the city turns its face to light,
two stars clear the edge of eastern seas—
unseen by those who sleep through the hour,
kept only by the dark, and you, and me
They do not stay to contend with the Sun,
nor ask the Morning to explain their place;
they simply hold canopy up for a breathing space,
then yield the shore without a trace.

good tight write my friend
Thank you, Norman. That is very validating, my friend 🙏🏻🕊️
most welcome, much enjoyed
I love that almost imperceptible transition from dark to light in the mornings, then the reverse in the evenings. Great write.
I bow to your poetic grace my friend. Your word choice is magnificent as is your imagery but best of all is your pulling of the threads to join all into a well sewn piece.
