Charlie Kirk wasn’t the one
to drown truth beneath loud opinions,
or twist it to fit crowded rooms.
He let it sit heavy, unpolished,
like a stone carried pocket-close,
smooth from years of being held.
Truth isn’t flashy, he’d remind,
it’s not a banner, not a slogan,
not a sticker slapped on a bumper.
It’s quieter, like the way
a mother learns her child’s cry
before the rest of the world.
He was once asked if it hurt
to carry something so fragile.
He smiled, tipped his chin upwards,
said, "Fragile things teach us strength
because they demand care, not force."
And I thought of how hands
can cradle as much as crush.
It wasn’t about being famous
or being loud, for Charlie.
It was about being an anchor,
pulling the world back to steadiness.
Even when it didn’t want
to be still at all.

A tribute to a man that many agreed with and many others did not. Controversial is the price paid for being honest. Well done Gray
Thank You Soren
Most welcome Gray
Honesty is a virtue; however the important thing, as in poetry, is what one is being honest about.
Thanks for your always interesting well versed commentary, mate.
Thank You Dave for sharing your feedback and support

As a woman, I fear the best of men is dying like old trades die to new tech.
The world won't forget what happened with Charlie whether you hated a man you didn't know, or loved a man you thought you did.
