Tune: Hawkhurst
('Come, gracious Spirit, heavenly dove')
**********
Come to us, Lord, where dry we be
And meet our thirst refreshingly
Water of life, land of our heart
Come fulfil us in every part
The promised rain send to renew
Supplies they all depend on you
Without you we parched and arid
As if a desert place amid
Then watered we be, not dull, dry
Nor dingy, dusty, by and by
Your Spirit in us still resides
E'en when at times seems subdued, hides
Our own inspirings from your grace
And so to bless others, we trace
For we your witnesses freely
By your renewing we now be

Such a fun title as well O🕊️🙏🏻
Thank you A.
Welcome O.
What a refreshing hymn, Orchi! The movement from spiritual exhaustion to renewal and outward witness is beautifully carried throughout. Even Popeyeus Glug Maximus Solus might trade his spinach for a little living water after this one! Nah...prob not. Still, wonderful work, my friend. 🤣 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thank you T. I was rather thinking of the 'dryness' as 'writers block' etc. Oh woe, will anything quench Mr P. Solus' thirst for spinach? Nope! lol.
Another wonderful hymn Orchi. These bring back memories of my childhood and Sunday church. Well done my friend
Thank you SB.
You are most welcome Orchi
I certainly developed a thirst, orchi. Not diversifying into the soft drinks business are ya?
Thank you Dave. lol. I\'m on the gin - hic! Sir Orchi NS dunno wot he's drinking half the time.
Which gin do you recommend? I've converted to gin with a splash o dry vermouth. You taking the gin and leaving the vermouth to him, you delinquent you.....
