I was tooling around town with a VFW pal of mine
Said he needed to help his mother-in-law
When we got there I saw a site like I ain’t ever seen
Saw a gal that was beautiful and damn she was mean
I knew then that I’d never be the same
The day I watched that woman tear my buddy out the frame
Old Tom had hurt this beauty’s friend
Seems my buddy had gotten himself in a jam
Met that lady and I’ve never been the same
Since I watched her tear my buddy plumb out of the frame
That she was hell on wheels I had no doubt
Knew I’d found the woman that I couldn’t live without
Ole Tom had brought me into this mess of his
I could see she was a fighter from the word go
I just kept my mouth shut while he got what he deserved
I’m pretty sure she’d have whipped us both
It seems when you’re not looking you find what you need
I knew then and there I’d make her mine
I guess the Man upstairs was looking out for me
What you’re looking for ain’t always what you need to find

A fun read of a love discovered. Set in rhyme it tells its tale. Well done
Thank you, friend!
Most welcome my friend
