Copper

Kora

You will be my ruin.
Let the earth split,
Swallowing me whole,
Before I succumb
To the madness
Of loving you.

You walk like a specter
Through my dreams,
Gathering wild blooms,
Arranging them like vows.
I watch you from the edges,
Undone by your beauty.

In the copper of your eyes,
I taste the sun.
