Writing the Wrong

Eugene S.

Remember when the wrong did all things break

Remember when a fiend did all things take
When hopelessness was the intended fate
Malevolence and strife did fill your life
Did hover above with a dripping knife
Left you lost, locked away where none could find
Somehow you survived in a time derived
Of anguish and pain, oh woe to the gyves
That kept you restrained in a world constrained
By its own bloodstained past and evil gains
Take your chains and cast them down, ever down
Break the binds, scatter their shards to the ground
And be found, live a life wholly profound
