The protection of the rejection

GothAngel

It feels like you're throwing pebbles of glass at me When you rejected me.

You call it the protection,

But I call it the rejection

Of what you truly want,

And what we truly want,

And what our tingles truly want.

Our tangled want to meet,

But you rejected for the protection—

That makes you long

For the flipping days of the calendar,

Till the protection turned into

Tingly, slippery slides.

A poetic write of fantasy denied it is sensual and a tease that is not taken. Well written

Thanks so much for reading closely! You described the mood perfectly. I love playing with the line between safety and desire. Did any specific line stand out the most to you?

A sense of inevitability that the two will meet upon a slippery slide

                    Could be a slippery slope.

                    • GothAngel

                      What you mean by that?

                      • 2781

It was a play on words, like rooted in seduction.

Tingly, slippery slides, should be the byword for a nicer rejaction.
Well, that is, once the tangling begins of course.
Cos after all, rejection might just be a swinging door.

                            • GothAngel

I agree. why I usually dance alone

Ouch, GothAngel! This captures that painful collision between desire and restraint, where waiting becomes its own exquisite torment. Emotionally charged work, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
