There will be a day when our Hearts give up.
And from there , an empty Void running on:
To the next day, the next, onto the next.
Then all days lead onto infinity.
An endless Sea of suffocating Night.
The encompassing darkness of death's Tomb.
So let us fall in Love while we are here:
Let us Love until it's Varnish lies thin.
Let us Love to outshine the Swelling Sun.
Let us Love and humiliate the Moon.
Let us Love and to all Nature confound.
Let us Love and make a Stand to Madness,
The daily grind from the Act of being.
To shake a fist at the Pageant Absurd,
The dire swirl of the Worlds Calliope.
Oh! Just let us Love and be done with it,
And let Blind Hate choke on it's toxic bile.

Good write, I hear you
Thank you for your message and Reading.
Love is all you need.
Wow what a plea. Well done
Thank you. Appreciate your Comments.
You are most welcome Kevin
And because death is inevitable and the world often absurd, the only meaningful, defiant, human response is to love wildly, intensely, and without restraint while we still can. πποΈ
If there is a 'Meaning of Life' , its to Love and be Loved. Thanks for Reading.
Most welcome, friendππ»ποΈ
Wow, Kevin...what a fierce declaration! Against death, meaninglessness, routine, and hatred, you raise love as the one rebellion worthy of our brief existence. This is passionate, defiant, and deeply moving. Excellent poem, my friend! πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
Thank you. And for the fave. Glad you enjoyed it.
A battle cry wrapped in a love poem, throwing a fist at the darkness and choosing life anyway.
The world may be absurd, but these lines refuse to leave without lighting a fire.
Appreciate you Reading and your -as always - poetic Comments.
