A phantom pulse against my side,
A sudden spark of hope inside.
I check the screen, but it stays dead -
Just empty space and words unsaid.
It’s quiet now, the static clears;
Nobody’s calling, no one hears.
A phantom pulse against my side,
A sudden spark of hope inside.
I check the screen, but it stays dead -
Just empty space and words unsaid.
It’s quiet now, the static clears;
Nobody’s calling, no one hears.

A sad feeling that of a call that doesn't come. It sends a message louder than the ring of any phone. Well written with good rhyme and meter. Nicely done
