Some flowers bloom
In dazzling light,
To flaunt their petals
In the sun,
But she is borne
Of gentle night,
She blossoms when
The day is done.
When dawn arrives,
She folds from view,
Where roots may gather,
Dreams may feed,
Her hidden shades
Remain concealed,
The moon's soft glow
Is all she needs.
