Becoming, Endlessly

Chick

I’ve walked through storms that split my soul,
And learned that pain can still make whole.
With every wound, with every scar,
I’ve searched for light inside the dark.

I’ve loved so fiercely, raw, and true,
Even when love left me in two.
I’ve learned that trust can break and bend,
And still I choose to hope again.

I’ve dreamed of building something mine,
A life that blooms from grit and time.
From quiet sparks that barely start,
To something steady, shaped by heart.

I look for beauty others miss,
In broken things and borrowed bliss.
A hidden gem, a second chance,
A small bright thread in circumstance.

Some days my body feels like stone,
A place I live in, not my own.
And still I ask the aching sky
Why some must hurt just to survive.

Yet every dawn, however thin,
Still whispers, “Begin again.”
So I keep moving, slow and small,
Refusing to let silence call.

I’m learning grief can live with grace,
That not all loss leaves a trace.
Not every hand will choose to stay,
But I am not what slips away.

So here’s to all that’s yet unseen,
The woman rising from between
What she has lost and what she’ll be
A soul still becoming, endlessly.
