Parking Lot

8Blackwidow8

Under the sentimental night sky
  rain breathing
    in anticipation
        before it dampens the dry

They stood staring into each other eyes
outside an old Honky Tonk dive
romance lit by loosely strewn Christmas lights
and a cool, pool of a moon observing from up high

The world narrowed by a gaze
longing distilled by irises that barely hesitate
sparks radiate as inner fires rage
a love that persists despite mistakes

Feet stepping at a ballad's pace
scuffling against the dirt parking lot pave
        eyes study each other's face
until one kiss ignites the flame

All it takes is a spark and the result a conflagration. Well done most romantic
