Don’t leave me in the air
Don’t hide behind the quiet
Like the truth ain’t sitting there
Say it when it’s shaking
When your voice is barely sound
When your heartbeat’s kicking warnings
And your courage’s breaking ground
Say it like a drumline
Pounding through the dark
Like a spark that keeps on glowing
When the night is cold and stark
Say it when it’s risky
When the moment’s razor thin
When the fear of losing something
Makes you lock your feelings in
Say it with intention
Not a whisper you repair
Say it when it matters
Say it if you care

A poem that challenges the reader to speak out. Nicely done in repeated requests for voicing one's feelings.

There is a proverb in Tamil, it says, "A child with expressing-mouth will survive"
I had never told anyone my fear when I was a young man and that led to chronic depression !
