Once upon a playful loss

sorenbarrett

Playful puppy turned dog grown, from loving all now guard teeth on loan
Once kitten now cat what was play now business finding a rat
Child's innocence lost, gums to sharp teeth and tongue the cost
A friendly humming bee now the only focus becomes protecting honey
A tender young rose that with time thorns grows

Wow your metaphor is superb, and yes we can all be changed by circumstances, hopefully for the better yet it's not always the case. 🌹

Thanks Teddy for the review and understanding words. Yes growing up is not always better
