My Blooming Rose

RSM0812

My pink, pink petal, of rose to bloom,

Turns the morn to afternoon.

You are my life, my only love,

Following like a mingling dove.

I bear my heart, to your sweet stance,

Growing, leaning, my romance.

The thirst you quench, with willful roots.

My pearly fence, my lover’s mood.

I'll whisper to your blossomed grace,

Kissing heaven with lips of taste.

Never will I pick you from,

The earthy tides, you grow here of.

Never wilt, grow forever.

Reach for skies, bring us together.

What a beautiful sonnet my friend set in colorful images of nature the metaphor unfolds as a blossom and reveals its beauty. Simply lovely and a fave
