Some Apologies Are Never Satisfying

Anthony Hanible

Some apologies

Come thin

Come fake

A paper shake

In a tidal quake

A brittle break

You didn’t make

Some apologies

Hit weak

Hit wrong

A stuttered song

That drags too long

A blame prolong

They tag along

Some apologies

Spin slick

Spin fast

A shadow cast

To dodge the past

A truth outclassed

By lies amassed

Some apologies

Aim clean

Aim cheap

A shallow sweep

To rinse the heap

A vow they keep

Just half asleep

Some apologies

Crack sharp

Crack loud

A storm unbowed

Inside a cloud

A hurt endowed

They disavowed

Some apologies

Teach grit

Teach steel

Closure’s real

When you choose the heal

A self made seal

They can’t repeal

Here the imperfections of man in vows made broken apologies made but mean little some things can not be forgotten of forgiven. Well done
