Life Begins

Kora

Let the world consume me.
Feed me to its teeth, and
Watch as it strips me
Down to the bone.
Bleed out all the colour,
Allow the wound to
Weep and blacken,
Exposing the rot, to
Leave nothing but carcass.
While earth takes root,
Let self dissolve, and
Smile for me, my love,
For where I end,
Life begins.
