Did you get the message?
Can go to all mobile phones
To warn of imminent danger
At work
One the road
At home
I had a thought
If the hackers got it
It could go nation wide
And if they hit the panic button
Some may not survive!
Call me pessimistic
Now listening to the show
The people that didn't get it
Might be blessed
God knows.

- Comment from author about the poem: Australia got a new emergency alert trial that went to their mobile phones. Listening to people's experiences on the radio, it could at the very least be a problem on the M1. Also turns out certain devices got a "presidential alert", is it me, or are things getting weird?

Only time will tell but you've written it well. Time to remember our own intuition of safe or not
After covid who knows what's next!
1984 or wonderland
Too much information can be distracting and overwhelming as well as cause assumptions that are not warranted due to incomplete information. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Well written
I am wondering what disasters are coming? My wife said, someone said.. it could warn against suenamies?
I am sure that tsunamis are on the list. I keep getting amber alerts about missing children in other counties and this is distracting too much information about things that don't pertain to me.
Another flex in social engineering. Apparently, there was a spike in vehicular accidents at 2pm. Wonder why that was!? My phone felt like a U.S. alarm, having been to the military installations while visiting Japan. Wonder why that its!? My daughter's phone was on aeroplane mode and didn't sound. Not a peep. Lol.
I'm lucky - no mobile phone. Pulse steady...
You can't keep an old dog down!
Wuff...
My friend, what an unsettling and thought-provoking piece! You turn a source of public reassurance into an instrument of chaos...then leave us wondering whether remaining beyond its reach might be the safest place of all. Excellent write, Valiantstar! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Two callers on abc radio, who had smart watches, said they got a different message, apparently it flashed "Presidential alert!"
Maybe those watches are smart?
