“beyond the night”
And beyond the night,
a greater dawn waits:
the Bridegroom lifts the final cup,
the fourth kept back
'til the kingdom comes.
The Bride, adorned in linen
bright,
answers with her whole being.
Harvest and wedding converge,
and the song that began in the fields
is completed
at the table of forever.

good write friend
Thank you friend
most welcome, much enjoyed
This feels almost biblical with the image of the bride and bridegroom as if Christ and a second coming. The glory delayed for that day of the wedding and salvation afterward. Could there be more? Metaphors wonderful things can be taken so many ways. Nicely done Cryptic
Thanks dear Soren. Wedding feasts are the best!
Indeed they are unless you have to pay for them. You are most welcome dear friend
Forever? Romantic beyond all measure.
Forever is a long, long time!
Thanks for letting me know...
Hello, arqios,
A most beautiful poem in the pastoral shades of harveat time and wedded bliss. Serenity in perpetuity at the table of love. A complete joy to read.
Wishing you much happiness,
Tony.
A fine write A.
Reminds me of Harvest Festival of long ago.
And filled the Church with their Produce.
Arqios, this gave me a real sense of completion…not just hope, but fulfillment. I liked sitting with that. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
