44 years of training

Poetic Dan

It's always been there but after 44 years of training I begin to understand.

Be it mother, brother, sister or son. Family doesn't mean friendship comes along.

We each have a role to play to the best But who stays beside us is part of the test.

Responsibility in the countability to hold ourselves up

Becomes the rhyme and reason to search for knowledge lost

Finding love is just a concept imagined long before us

I see the purpose of my existence is a vessel of emptiness

Holding on to nothing to become everything at once

recording for a prospective to find where I belong.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I was really looking forward to this 44th cycle but it's turned out to be nothing like I thought! I try to be grateful that I can breathe everyday but this journey can be such an unforgiving cold and lonely place. Its why nature and instruments have become my saving grace. This was my most recent writing! Always appreciated with much peace and respect

People are people whether related or not and some we do better with than others. Well written

Dan, the distinction between family and friendship carries tremendous weight here. Some bonds are assigned to us...others prove themselves by remaining beside us. Thought-provoking work, my friend. πŸ§πŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›

Thank you my friend but this definitely comes from a very dark place as I'm not afraid to say. I'm lonely my friend
