The walk

sorenbarrett

Morning's buttered sun pours light's honey over layered rock cakes spilling shadows in drops coffee black. A flowered and green tilted plate where a thin trail wends its way through leafy bordering byways. Birds call like singing utensils and the aroma of nature's kitchen wafts through the out doors. Tongue tasting lightly salted, skin basted turning brown. I walk between moss and vine table cloth decorated stone tables and rock chairs. The fresh mountain air is on the menu.

What a beautifully imaginative write, Soren. Turning the entire landscape into an open-air breakfast is wonderfully playful…the natural world feels nourishing in every possible way. Excellent work, my friend. πŸŒ„πŸŒΏβ˜•πŸ–€πŸ™

A very original developed metaphor about nature as food, a menu, and a feast. Oh, you hungry ones, for the beauty and taste of natural life, join in! That's how that poem sounds to me.

                              • sorenbarrett

Thank you Durdica for the read and interpretation. Indeed that is the feel I have for nature the difference of eating a natural food as opposed to eating a plastic and cardboard manufactured one with chemical additives for flavor. Your words are most appreciated.

You are welcome. I understand your priorities and your love for natural living and resistance to artificial things.

I am a pragmatist that occasionally eats junk and enjoys it at the moment for what it is, knowing its danger but accepting it in a moment when nothing better is available. However, I prefer the natural and seek it whenever possible.

Now that paints a picture very eloquently. Love the descriptions you've chosen so much that I want to be there!
