There is a love that yearns for tomorrow.
And if tomorrow forgets me, what more would I live for?
If the wind takes the words from my mouth, and we are left with only eye contact,
Will you understand me?
If a flower blooms under the sun and rain,
Will you pick it for me?
Will you cherish it until I'm forgotten?
Will I be there, in your future, to live in your forever?
Will I be able to fill your boredom,
Or do I belong in your heart?
Your cage of red,
Where a bench, trees, and kids laughing remain.
Will I ever be more than an act of kindness?
Will I be forever remembered,
Or forgotten?
Have I already been dismayed,
And does tomorrow no longer hold my name?
Did I leave a mark on your soul?
Or was I simply the one who made you laugh,
Only to remain in a sidekick role?
