When silence dies

silentwishes

the world is quiet as it sleeps under the spell of the darkness.

the breath of the sleeping giant whispers through the trees.

an owl flies through the air

silent as the moon

tucked under the blanket of stars it calls home.

the sun rises

waking the world with birdsong and warmth

the moon hides, cowering before the sun

and the stars disappear outshone

the sleeping giant awakens

and the silence dies.

A beautiful descriptive poem with great images that provoke a view of a personified nature awakening. Lovely

Night and day with the animals at play.
Mr Owl loves the night, his hunting ground awaits.
The morning birds maybe hope for the juicy worm, or the human touch.
