ON EARTH

Carlos Alberto BUSTILLOS

ON EARTH

When it falls upon me,
when the world collapses over my shoulders,
when everything goes wrong, I cry in silence.

And I know that, in the end, the light reaches me too,
those stars, day and night, falling bright upon me,
and I know I will float even if I drown,
that none of this is worth so many tears.

And even knowing that,
how badly I feel,
so alone when the earth falls on me,
this world that feels so strange.

And despite it all, I cannot help it,
and I find myself trapped by the earth,
unable to fly far from pain.

I know the sun shines for me,
there is light for everyone,
day and night,
and, in the end,
I will grow calm,
and sleep beneath the stars,
and everything will pass and I will wake again.

And the sun’s rays will embrace me once more,
and nothing will happen, and I will forget.

qué mal me encuentro,

me apaciguaré
y dormiré bajo las estrellas,
y todo pasará y volveré a despertar.

A beautiful poem with a marvelous message Carlos. The format alone in its design must have been difficult so as to maintain the meter and flow. Very nice
