I'm looking for that emptiness in a man's eyes when he isn't impressed by what he sees,
but you're telling me a different story,
and you refuse to break eye contact.
I feel weak when the clock strikes twelve and you're still around.
You've just poured yourself another glass and I might just betray myself.

I think we all have a self destruct button
To press at times like this
Glad to discover your writing
Looking forward to reading more
As a nicely brief account of what is happening just below the surface I found this full of honesty and truth.
There seems to be passion in the air and concern that one may do what they will later regret. Well done
