10 Months

Alex PB

Notice of absence from Alex PB
Writin' more and more poems is my job,
I shall write when Shakespeare is back.

A broken record, constant work in process,

Pillows don't replace the sense of a person,

Double bed for a single beating problem,

Empty walls for your art and pictures,

No mirror since I'd have to draw your reflection on it,

None my music 'cause you won't listen to it,

A dusty hat can't even wear it,

Tasteless beer trying to forget bitter memories,

Who loved who is a mystery,

A broken back and a silenced lover,

Break that silence now that it's all over,

Congratulations, where's mine?

I'd kiss your neck the way you kissed my cheek,

Drink poisoned sensual feelings from the cup,

Then tell everyone you've had a great time,

Carve your name on my back I enjoy the pain,

You're an artist, I'm your canvas,

I get drunk remembering the touch of your hand,

And you asking about me, making a sound,

Someone else in front of me I can't stand it,

I hear them but my heart doesn't pounce,

I ask you, what's the formula,

I still dream you, where are you G...
