Humming on a drum, with a wire-brush swish.
Habit hugs hesitation, with whispered, "You Wish!"
Hope wears its slippers, shuffling on all day.
Hurry leaves hindsight with nothing to say.
Hearts keep on wishing their tomorrows away.
Hum is a habit, while dem drums dance and sway.
How did this conundrum, become this humdrum?
Hum-hum... drum-drum..drum
Brrrum-ba-dum, ba-dum, ba-dum.
Hum-hum... drum-drum..drum
You wish... you wish... yum-ba-dum!
Hmmm... de-shwish... hmmm...de-shwish...
Brum-ba-dum, ba-dum..hum de-drum
Hmmm... de-shwish... hmmm... de-shwish...
Tomorrow... so humdrum.. humdrum!

- Comment from author about the poem: With apologies to Craig Tigerman, Sol Magazine's Lead Editor, who invented this Pleiades form in 1999. It consisting of seven lines while each line starts with the same letter as the one word title. There is a single seven-line stanza. I've added a chorus, and repeated verse.
