Regrets' embrace stirs past the hour
Ere long after best forgot
Anguished lamentations auger
Stains the shade of envies plot
Follower of deeds most dour
Bears the pall in every wake
Bids inter the tangled flower
Of passion birthed for envies sake

This one requires some thought and rereading. It is so compact and nicely rhymed its meaning is not caught on first reading, at least for one as slow witted as I. A masterful write and a fave
I like mine short and sweet but sometimes they get away from me. If you like this I'll through up a few short ones.
Any length is good
I can not say how much I love short poems. The thoughts and actions of the author in such a compact space.
