Lily 360

What could've been if I'd said those words?
What could've been if it wasn't for her?

I held it back, that simple phrase,
But showed it through actions in so many ways.

My silence cost a world, or two.
What could've been if only you knew?

It's just three words, so hard to say.
My love for you begins to fray.

I traced your name on the window glass,
And looked for you during class.

On 11:11, I wished for you.
Every day I wished, but it never came true.

The memories we made will live in my head,
Along with the letters I kept under my bed.

When I saw you again, my heart lost its pace,
But you looked right through me like I'd been erased.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is one of my first poems I wrote in middle school. It really showed a story that happened back then and I think a lot of people can relate to it. Published this on my bday btw
